Questions & answers
A few things
you might be wondering.
A straightforward guide to our focus, approach, and the questions to resolve before a study begins.
What is Vellora Labs?
Vellora Labs is an early-stage AI-native user research studio. We are developing methods for customer discovery, usability and concept testing, and AI-assisted voice and video interviews.
Who is the research designed for?
Product, design, and founder teams exploring customer needs, an early concept, onboarding, or an existing product experience.
How is AI used in the process?
We are exploring AI support for study preparation, conversational interviews, transcription, and synthesis. Researchers define the study and review interpretations against source evidence.
Do you use real participants?
Studies intended to understand users need evidence from real participants. AI-generated personas and simulated responses cannot establish what actual users need or how they behave.
Are all interviews moderated by AI?
No. The method should fit the question and the participants. We are evaluating AI-assisted interviews as one option within a broader research process.
Can you work with an early prototype?
A concept or prototype can support a focused study when there is enough context for participants to respond meaningfully. The study design should make its limitations clear.
How are participants recruited?
Participant criteria and access must be agreed when scoping a study. This may involve an existing customer audience or a suitable external recruitment route; we do not claim an existing proprietary panel.
How long does a study take?
Timing depends on scope, participant access, the method, and the material available. A schedule should be agreed after the research brief is understood.
How is participant information handled?
The study should define consent, recording, approved tools, access, retention, and deletion before collecting participant information. Our website privacy note explains the current site separately.
How do I start?
Prepare a short research brief describing your product, the people you want to understand, and the decision you need to make. The contact page provides a brief builder.
