FREE VELLORA TOOL · LOCAL ONLY
Interview debrief builder
Keep what happened, what it might mean, and what you need to check in separate fields.
Your working draft
LOCAL · EDITABLEA single-session record you can trace to its source.
Use the example or add your own context to create an editable result.
- Record the question and what happened.
- Separate observation from interpretation.
- Keep alternatives and next questions visible.
HOW IT WORKS
Write the observation first.
This tool puts your notes into a consistent review format. It preserves the text you supply and does not infer themes, check recordings, or generate findings. Use it after one interview while you can still distinguish what you heard from what you think it means.
Include the question that preceded an answer. A response after an explanation or a leading prompt has a different context from an unaided observation. Add the source location so an authorized reviewer can inspect that distinction.
The example uses invented material. Replace it with your own permissioned notes before using the output in a real study. An empty alternative field is recorded as missing, not as proof that no counterexample exists.
A ten-minute review routine
- Write the participant code, source location and study decision.
- Record one important observation without turning it into a theme.
- Put your interpretation in its own field.
- List an alternative explanation or mark the gap.
- Choose one question that another session or source could resolve.
Ten minutes is a suggested working routine, not a tested productivity claim. For several observations, make additional records and connect them in the evidence log.
Before a note becomes a finding
Review its source, permission and scope. Keep conflicting observations. One session can reveal an issue worth investigating, but does not establish how common it is. If AI later summarizes these records, use our summary review guide.
